MATSON #40710 White Linseed Oil Primer (Exterior)

White (may be tinted).PRODUCT TYPE: Linseed Modified Oil Base Primer.
DESCRIPTION: A top quality exterior primer designed to prime and seal new wood surfaces and weathered painted surfaces. It is a controlled penetrating primer made from linseed oil & alkyd combined with pure pigments. It is an ideal foundation for oil and latex finish coats.
Intended Use: All exterior wood surfaces in a marine environment, areas such as deck houses, freeboards and interiors, passageways, machinery, holds, cabinets, etc.

VISCOSITY: 84 k.u. DRY TO TOUCH: 1 hour
WEIGHT SOLIDS: 82-86% TACK FREE: 8 hours
VOLUME SOLIDS: 68-70% TIME TO RECOAT: Overnight
WEIGHT PER GALLON: 13.72 lbs. per gal. DRY HARD: 18 hours
V.O.C.: 244 grams per liter COLOR RANGE: White (may be tinted)
FLASH POINT: 105° F. PACKAGING: 1 or 5 gallon containers

PRACTICAL COVERAGE: 300-500 square feet per gallon depending on the type of surface to be coated.
SURFACE PREPARATION: Surface must be dry, clean and free of all foreign substances and properly prepared. WOOD: New wood should be primed with Matson #40710 Exterior White Oil Base Primer and allowed to dry for 24 hours before applying Matson Marine Finish. Old painted wood should be sanded or wire brushed and spot primed with Matson #40710 Exterior White Oil Base Primer.
APPLICATION: Brush, roller or airless spray.
THINNING: Thin if necessary with Farwest #602 Mineral Spirits.
CLEAN-UP: Tools and equipment may be cleaned with Farwest #602 Mineral Spirits.
