#504 MetalGuard High-Heat Aluminum Paint

COLOR(S): Aluminum.

PRODUCT TYPE: Aluminum-Pigmented Alkyd.

DESCRIPTION: A fast-drying, easy-to-apply paint specially formulated to withstand high temperatures without discoloring or breaking down. It is known to perform well at temperatures up to 400° F. Its aluminum pigmentation provides excellent rust resistance and it is ideal for tools and industrial equipment.

Intended Use: For marine use, radiators, boilers, exhaust stacks, tools, or industrial equipment.

DRY TO TOUCH: 2 hours

WEIGHT SOLIDS: 35-37%

TACK FREE: 4 hours

VOLUME SOLIDS: 28-30%

TIME TO RECOAT: 24 hours

WEIGHT PER GALLON: 7.91 lbs. per gal.

DRY HARD: 8 hours

V.O.C.: 540 grams per liter

COLOR RANGE: Aluminum

FLASH POINT: 100° F.

SURFACE PREPARATION: Surface to be coated must be free of all loose dirt or scaling paint and any other foreign material. All loose material should be removed before painting.

APPLICATION: Apply by spray. Avoid excessive film thickness. The first coat should dry in 1-2 hours and be recoated after six hours or more. Aluminum paints "gum" quickly, so keep the container tightly closed.

THINNING: Thin if necessary with Farwest #605 Synthetic Thinner or Farwest Toluol.

CLEAN-UP: Tools and equipment may be cleaned with Farwest #605 Synthetic Thinner or Farwest #615 Wash Thinner.
