X-6282 High-Solids Penetrating Oil Stain

COLOR(S): White, Pastels to Deep Browns.

PRODUCT TYPE: Modified Alkyd/Oil Solution.

DESCRIPTION: Designed specifically to meet more stringent V.O.C. regulations (350 grams per liter). It is truly the choice of quality in penetrating wiping oil stains and may be tinted with either Universal Machine Colorants or Alkyd Ting Pastes.

Intended Use: For use on new wood millwork, cabinets, or wood furniture.

VISCOSITY: 51 k.u.

DRY TO TOUCH: 4 hours

WEIGHT SOLIDS: 67-69%

TACK FREE: 8 hours

VOLUME SOLIDS: 60-62%

TIME TO RECOAT: 8 hours or overnight

WEIGHT PER GALLON: 7.67 lbs. per gal.

DRY HARD: Overnight

V.O.C.: 300 grams per liter

COLOR RANGE: White, pastels to deep browns

FLASH POINT: 105° F.

PACKAGING: 1 or 5 gallon containers

BATCH: Stock

PRACTICAL COVERAGE: 300-400 square feet per gallon depending on surface to be coated.

SURFACE PREPARATION: Surface to be coated must be clean, dry and free of oils, dirt, grease and waxes.

APPLICATION: Brush or wipe on liberally working stain into wood. Allow all surfaces to penetrate a minimum of five minutes. Wipe off evenly and thoroughly with a soft cloth while turning regularly. Remove streaks and spots by lightly buffing with cloth. Due to the high solids of this material, it features very good sealing qualities giving extra hold-out to clear finishes that may be applied over it.

THINNING: Thinning is not necessary or recommended.

CLEAN-UP: Tools and equipment may be cleaned with Farwest #602 Mineral Spirits.
