X-6355 Red-Brown Primer

COLOR(S): Red-Brown.

PRODUCT TYPE: Red Oxide Primer.

DESCRIPTION: A soya alkyd red oxide primer for use on structural steel surfaces where durability combined with a fast-dry feature is desired.

Intended use: For structural steel surfaces.

VISCOSITY: 62-65%

DRY TO TOUCH: 30 minutes

WEIGHT SOLIDS: 61-63%

TACK FREE: 1 hour

VOLUME SOLIDS: 38-40%

TIME TO RECOAT: 2 hours

WEIGHT PER GALLON: 10.90 lbs. per gal.

DRY HARD: 4 hours

V.O.C.: 450 grams per liter

COLOR RANGE: Red-Oxide

FLASH POINT: 26° F.

PACKAGING: 1 or 5 gallon containers

BATCH: Stock

PRACTICAL COVERAGE: 300-350 square feet per gallon @ approximately 2.0 mils dry film thickness.

SURFACE PREPARATION: Surface to be coated must be free of all dirt, oil and grease. Galvanized surfaces should be treated with a phosphoric etch before applying primer. Remove loose rust and scale with Farwest #695 Rynolite Chemical Cleaner-Etcher.

APPLICATION: Brush, roller, or spray.

THINNING: Thin if necessary with Farwest #605 Synthetic Thinner or Farwest Toluene.

CLEAN-UP: Tools and equipment may be cleaned with Farwest #605 Synthetic Thinner or Farwest #615 Wash Thinner.
