X-6390/X-6392 Fast-Dry Epoxy Primer

PRODUCT TYPE: Multi-Purpose Fast-Drying Epoxy Polyamide Primer/X-6390 (Part B) & X-6392 (Part A)
DESCRIPTION: A high quality two-component primer designed for such uses as: Direct-to-metal primer, concrete floor application, above waterline marine use, prepared aluminum, wood, etc. It is an integral key of a complete high quality Epoxy-Urethane System. This product is a recommended primer-undercoat for use with Farwest Skythane (two -component urethane).
Intended Use: For high traffic, high abuse, industrial floors or other harsh environments.

PRACTICAL COVERAGE: (Dependent on application type and recommendation) Approximately 150-300 square feet per gallon or 300-600 square feet per two gallon kit.
POT LIFE: 24 hours @ 70° F.
SURFACE PREPARATION: Steel: Remove all loose, rusty scale. Remove oil, grease, dirt and other contaminants.
Galvanized (New): Must be cleaned and etched with Farwest #695 Rynolite Etch or Phospro.
(Old): Remove loose scales, clean away oxidation with wire brush and/or Farwest #695 Rynolite Etch. Aluminum: Must be cleaned and etched with Farwest #695 Rynolite Etch.
Concrete (New): Clean and etch with Farwest #695 Rynolite Etch. (Old): Remove oil, dirt, and grease before priming.
APPLICATION: Brush, roller, or airless spray. MIXING INSTRUCTIONS: Mix equal parts of Component A with Component B by volume. Let stand 30 minutes before applying. Mix only enough for each days use.
THINNING: Not usually needed for brushing, rolling or airless spray. If necessary to thin for conventional spray: use Farwest #620 Skythane Reducer. Add solvent only after mixing parts A and B together.
CLEAN-UP: Equipment and tools should be cleaned thoroughly with Farwest #610 Lacquer Thinner or #620 Skythane Reducer. Do not leave unused paint in spray equipment beyond the pot life of the material (when pot life is exceeded, product gels and hardens).
