X-6739 Chromate-Free White Primer

COLOR(S): White.

PRODUCT TYPE: High-Solids, Lead & Chromate-Free Alkyd Primer.

DESCRIPTION: A quick-drying, corrosion-inhibiting, high solids alkyd primer for pre-treated ferrous and non-ferrous metals. This is a lead and chromate-free primer. It is suitable for use on the inside of potable water tanks or for marine use.

Intended Use: Primer for pre-treated ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

VISCOSITY: Reduced Spray: 67 k.u.

DRY TO TOUCH: 30 minutes

WEIGHT SOLIDS: 62-64%

TACK FREE: 1 hour

VOLUME SOLIDS: 39-41%

TIME TO RECOAT: 3 hours

WEIGHT PER GALLON: 11-12 lbs. per gal.

DRY HARD: 8 hours

V.O.C.: Reduced Spray: 520 grams per liter

COLOR RANGE: White

FLASH POINT: 80° F.

PACKAGING: 1 or 5 gallon containers

BATCH: Stock

PRACTICAL COVERAGE: Approximately 300-400 square feet per gallon @ 2 mils dry film thickness.

SURFACE PREPARATION: Remove loose rust and scale with Farwest #695 Rynolite Chemical Cleaner-Etcher and wire brush. All surfaces should be free of foreign particles and contaminants.

APPLICATION: Spray application is recommended for best results. Product should not be thinned differently than recommended below.

THINNING: Reduce with ratio of 4 parts volume of primer with one part volume of Farwest #605 Synthetic Thinner conforming to TT-T-306, Type II.

CLEAN-UP: Tools and equipment may be cleaned with Farwest #605 Synthetic Thinner.
