C-9-86 Phenolic Finish Coat (Semi-Gloss)

PRODUCT TYPE: Phenolic Raw Linseed Oil.

DESCRIPTION: Farwest C-9-86 is a Phenolic Varnish/Raw Linseed Oil coating intended for use on steel surfaces. It has good rust inhibitive characteristics with excellent durability and may be used as a finish coat over Farwest A-6-86 (TT-P-641) Zinc Dust Oxide Coating.

VISCOSITY: 72-78 k.u. @ 21C

DRY TO TOUCH: 4 hours

WEIGHT SOLIDS: 78-82%

TACK FREE: 24 hours

VOLUME SOLIDS: 58-64%

TIME TO RECOAT: 24 hours

WEIGHT PER GALLON: 12.60 lbs. per gal.

DRY HARD: 24 hours

V.O.C.: 300 grams per liter

COLOR RANGE: White to Dark Green

FLASH POINT: 90° F.

PACKAGING: 5 gallon containers

BATCH: Stock

PRACTICAL COVERAGE: 250 square feet per gallon @ 2 mils dry film thickness.

SURFACE PREPARATION: Surface to be coated must be free of rust, grease, oil and dirt for best results. Must be used over Farwest A-6-86 (TT-P-641) Zinc Dust Oxide Coating.

APPLICATION: Brush application only.

THINNING: Do not reduce. Manufactured at ready-to-use viscosity. If absolutely necessary use Farwest #602 Mineral Spirits.

CLEAN-UP: Tools and equipment may be cleaned with Farwest #602 Mineral Spirits or Farwest #605 Synthetic Thinner.
